I’m not sure what I saw…

This was on Monday of this week and I can't stop thinking about it. I had just dropped my son off at school and was driving to work at around 7:30 am in northwest Alabama. I went around a bend in the road and happened to glance up at the very clear morning sky. I saw what looked like a star and thought nothing about it. A few seconds later, I thought to myself "wait, can you even see stars in the day??"

I looked again and it was still there, in the southern sky. It was too far away for me to see the shape and plus, I was trying to keep my eye on the road. To avoid having an accident, I pulled into an empty lot and decided to try to zoom into it and take a pic but I looked at it for a few seconds before and realized it was moving. It was very shiny, like it was reflecting the sunlight and I saw it move a bit to the left and back to the right. Got my camera out and pointed it up and the thing was gone. I was so upset! I don't know if it was a helicopter or not. They usually fly a lot lower to the ground and this was way up there….a bit lower than what a commercial airplane flies but still so far up I had trouble making out its shape. It was kind of cigar shaped but bigger in the middle I would say. It was hard to tell from so far away but when it moved I could tell a bit easier.

Has anyone seen anything similar? Could it be me just wanting to see something I identified?
